Primary Health Care and Family Welfare Programmes are being implemented in the District through 48 Primary Health Centers and 399 Sub-Centers and also Seven Urban Health Centers. New PHCs are sanction vide G.O.Ms.No:77, dated 04.04.2012. Out of 48 PHCs only 2PHCs are functioning in rented buildings (Abdullapurmet & Dubbacherla) and Sub centers115 in Govt. buildings,5 under construction and proposed 13(266 in rented).
Performance Indicators on 24×7 MCH Centres PHCs and CHCs:-

ANC Registration: All the Pregnant Women are registered to provide maternal care services and identify High Risk cases & refer to Govt.Institutionsfor safe delivery.
- Child Immunization Programme: The OPV,Hep-B 0 dose and BCG vaccine is given to all new born babies DPT Polio and Hepatitis-B vaccination in three doses within 18 weeks of infants and Measles and Vitamin-A given to 9 months to 5 years through Immunization sessions on every Wednesday and Saturday.
- JSY scheme is being implemented from 1stNovember 2005 to increase Government Institutional Deliveries there by reduce infant and mortality rates under this scheme cash incentive Rs.1000/- is provided to all BPL pregnant women women.
- Family Planning Programme: Under this scheme Family planning operations are conducted regularly in all 24×7 PHCs every week and DPL camps arranged regularly.
